In 332 BC, Ancient Egypt was conquered by Alexander the Great and his Greek forces. Following this, the Ptolemaic dynasty, established by one of his generals named Ptolemy, governed Egypt for nearly three centuries. However, in 30 BC, the Romans invaded and ultimately defeated Pharaoh Cleopatra, leading to Egypt's incorporation into the Roman Empire.
