Understanding Divine Justice

The Hebrew term that we translate as justice, mishpat, encompasses more than merely fairness in a judicial context. When we refer to God as just, it is because He embodies holiness, establishing the highest standard of righteousness. He is the one who knows and defines the beginning and the end, as well as right and wrong. Justice finds its foundation in God's very nature; He is inherently JUST.
