Circa 3000 B.C. marks the creation of the first known doors, possibly intended to signify a passage to the afterlife. It's likely that similar doors were also present in Europe during this time. Recently, archaeologists in Zurich, Switzerland, unearthed an oak door believed to have been made around 3063 B.C.
