Money can easily take on the role of a false idol, leading us to prioritize its pursuit over our relationship with the divine. This is why Jesus cautions us against trying to serve both God and wealth, as noted in Matthew 6:24. However, it is important to understand that being wealthy in itself is not sinful. The affluent are not inherently less righteous than others.
