It is clear from Jesus' teaching that we cannot simultaneously love and serve both God and wealth (Matthew 6:24). However, being wealthy in itself is not sinful. Those who are affluent are not inherently less righteous than others. It is entirely possible for someone to possess wealth while still prioritizing their love for God over their reliance on money.
