Muslims hold the belief that the Quran was revealed to the last Islamic prophet Muhammad by God, conveyed through the angel Gabriel. This revelation occurred gradually over approximately 23 years, starting from the Night of Power when Muhammad was 40 years old and concluding in the year 632, the year of his passing.
