To some degree, yes. A study conducted by Beech and Whittaker revealed that participants who smoked found smoking models to be more appealing. However, these models were perceived as equally intelligent as their nonsmoking counterparts. Conversely, participants who did not smoke assessed smoking models as both less attractive and less intelligent compared to nonsmokers.
