Was the Quran Destroyed?

Approval of the Companions regarding the Quran

After Uthman ibn Affan completed the compilation of the Quran, he instructed that all other versions be burned. He communicated to everyone, saying, "I have taken such actions and removed my copies; therefore, you should also eliminate what you possess." The Companions accepted Uthman's decisions and concurred that his actions were appropriate.
