The most prevalent form of seizure in children is associated with fever, known as a febrile seizure. Other contributing factors can include infections, low blood sodium levels, certain medications, substance abuse (like amphetamines or cocaine), brain injuries or tumors, and genetic abnormalities. In some cases, a seizure may occur without a clear cause.
