Stages Following Death

The initial stage, known as pallor mortis, occurs when the skin loses its color due to blood settling in the lower parts of the body. Algor mortis follows, which is when the body's temperature gradually decreases. Next is rigor mortis, during which the muscles become stiff and contract. Finally, we have livor mortis, characterized by the appearance of a bruised discoloration in regions where blood has pooled.
