Only a handful of countries are able to effectively recycle e-waste. Among the members of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, Japan stands out as the leading recycler, having reused around 350,000 tonnes in 2020. Notably, 40% of this total was comprised of imported e-waste.
