According to 1 Corinthians 13:4–7, love is characterized by patience and kindness. It does not harbor envy or boastfulness; it is free from arrogance and rudeness. True love does not demand its own way, nor is it easily angered or resentful. Rather than celebrating wrongdoing, love finds joy in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
