The tale revolves around two couples vacationing in Mexico who decide to join a tourist in exploring a secluded Mayan ruin. Unbeknownst to them, this site is home to a deadly carnivorous vine. The film is produced by Stuart Cornfeld, Jeremy Kramer, and Chris Bender, with Ben Stiller serving in the role of executive producer.
