Origins of Nasr City

Nasr City was founded in the 1960s under the leadership of Gamal Abdel Nasser. Although it was originally conceived as a new capital, it did not develop as envisioned. Presently, the area is characterized by a diverse community, including a significant number of immigrants, and serves as an important economic hub featuring various shopping malls.
