Who created Palmyra?
Approved answer
Creation of Palmyra
During the reign of Roman emperor Tiberius (14–37 A.D.), the settlement of Tadmor was integrated into the province of Syria and adopted the name Palmyra, which translates to “place of palms.” Following the Roman annexation of Nabataea in 106 A.D., Palmyra emerged as the dominant Arab city in the Near East, taking over from Petra as the region's primary trading hub.
