In Arabic, the term Allah is often interpreted as "the god" (al-ilah), and is likely related to the Aramaic word Alaha, rather than being derived from it. Interestingly, both Muslims and the vast majority of Christians accept that they worship the same deity, despite variations in their beliefs and interpretations.
