Rebellion against Yazid

Following his service in Arminiya, Yazid was dispatched to quell a Kharijite uprising led by fellow Shaybanid, al-Walid ibn Tarif, around 795/796. He managed to successfully defeat and kill the leader of the rebellion in battle, thereby bringing an end to the insurrection.
