A comprehensive review of 56 studies by linguistics expert Deborah James and social psychologist Janice Drakich revealed that only two studies indicated women communicated more than men. In contrast, 34 studies suggested that men were more talkative than women. Additionally, 16 of the studies found no significant difference in speaking time between the genders, while four studies showed no discernible trend.
