Although the exact phrase "God the Son" is not found in Scripture, it serves as a theological term that encapsulates the belief in Jesus as a member of the Trinity. He is recognized as being both distinct and yet fundamentally unified in essence with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit, who are the first and third Persons of the Trinity, respectively.
