What is the righteous in Islam?

A righteous person should treat others with kindness and compassion while nurturing genuine loyalty and honesty towards God Almighty. It is important for him to actively look for opportunities to provide helpful service to those around him. Only the individual who embodies all these characteristics can be regarded as truly righteous.
