Who should pay zakat al-fitr?

Every Muslim who has the financial capacity is required to pay Zakat al-Fitr before the celebration of Eid al-Fitr. It is the responsibility of adults to contribute on their own behalf as well as for any children or dependents who are unable to fulfill this obligation themselves.
