Personal Du’as in the Quran

  • Allah, the Almighty, says: (My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication.)
  • Allah, the Almighty, says: (He said, My Lord, expand for me my breast * And ease for me my task.)
  • Allah, the Almighty, says: (My Lord, increase me in knowledge.)
  • Allah, the Almighty, says: (There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.)
  • Allah, the Almighty, says: (My Lord, cause me to enter a good entry and to exit a good exit and grant me from Yourself a supporting authority.)
  • Allah, the Almighty, says: (My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils.)

  • Allah, the Almighty, says: (My Lord, let me enter a good entry and let me exit a good exit; and grant me from Yourself a supporting authority.)

Requests for Forgiveness and Guidance in the Quran

The following verses encompass supplications for forgiveness, provision, guidance, prayers for the deceased, parents, children, and for matters related to marriage:

  • Allah, the Almighty, says: (Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.)

  • Allah, the Almighty, says: (Our Lord, complete for us our light and forgive us. Indeed, You are over all things competent.)
  • Allah, the Almighty says in Surah Al-Isra: (My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small.)
  • Allah, the Almighty, says: (Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day the account is established.)
  • Allah, the Almighty, says: (Our Lord, accept from us. Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing. Our Lord, and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and of our descendants a Muslim [in submission] [in submission] nation to You. And show us our rites and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.)
  • Allah, the Almighty, says: (Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.)
  • Allah, the Almighty, says: (Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and do not put in our hearts any resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed, You are Kind and Merciful.)
  • Allah, the Almighty, says: (My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house while believing, and the believing men and women. And do not increase the wrongdoers except in demise.)
  • Allah, the Almighty, says: (Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or made a mistake. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.)
  • Allah, the Almighty, says: (My Lord, leave me not alone [without an heir], while You are the best of inheritors.)
  • Allah, the Almighty, says: (My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need.)
  • Allah, the Almighty, says: (So he called upon his Lord, Indeed, I am overcome, so help.)
