The Beauty of Her Every Moment
The beauty of her is renewed every hour,
And this is why my affection knows no bounds.
My love, like her beauty, is never-ending,
And my longing, like her absence, will never exhaust.
Only imagination comes to me,
With my shyness, having hesitated for so long.
This imagination remains in sight, but,
The scent of her presence lingers in my hand.
She is a captivating force that ravages us,
Yet each era familiarizes itself with its own.
Undoubtedly, she is a charming muse; yet,
Her nature seems to tell me she is out of reach.
She carries the adornments of two sides
Upon her neck, a necklace, and in her deep-set eyes.
Her gaze conveys enchantment,
With every glance, it writes us a new volume.
We have read the wonders from her lips,
Her beauty is like a fragrance, exquisite and divine.
The eyeliner is blended with her shadow,
And we drank from it the intoxicating sweetness.
From her beauty, she gives life and takes it,
And from her tenderness, she binds and loosens.
If she shows us her face at dawn,
She reveals to us the branches of a nightlit event.
She enchanted me with dewy daisies,
And soothed me with rosy jasmines.
She wished to kill me with her magic, yet didn’t realize
That I am supported by the one who reassures.
Whoever sees him has found reassurance, but,
His generosity in bestowing is unfaltering.
A sovereign with a generosity that draws nearer,
Like his virtue that has showered us with grace.
The seekers find guidance in the dark of night,
By the light of the star of Muhammad’s faith.
For God has clothed him in light, yet,
In the victory of his faith, he projected strength.
His resolute will helped religion in this way,
For his remembrance thrived as time thrived.
He is fiercer than any shield in the heat
And sharper than the sword of a warrior’s hand.
A presence that is formidable, a fierce will,
And a noble essence that stands tall.
Let us celebrate his festival now, and I congratulate him,
For he has fasted for a thousand years and celebrated.
To us belong kindness and gifts by his side,
And for him, praise and enduring commendation.
I Love You, I Love You: This Is My Signature
Is there any doubt that you are the fairest woman in the world?
And the most important woman in my life?
Do you doubt that when I found you,
I grasped the keys to everything?
Do you doubt that when I touched your hands,
The essence of the world shifted?
Do you doubt that your entry into my heart
Was the greatest day in history?
And the most beautiful news in existence?
Is there any doubt in who you are,
O one who occupies my very thoughts?
O woman who breaks the sound barrier,
As you pass by, I know not what happens to me.
For it feels as if you are my first love,
And it seems I loved no one before you.
As if I never experienced love before, never embraced.
You are my rebirth, for before you, I cannot recall.
And you are my blanket; before your warmth,
I feel I never truly lived.
O queen,
From your essence, like a bird, I emerged.
Is there any doubt you are a part of my soul?
And from your eyes, I stole the fire,
To ignite the boldest revolts within me.
O rose, ruby, and sweet basil,
The sovereign among all queens,
Swimming in the ocean of my existence,
Shining as a moon every evening through words.
You are the grandest conquest of all my missions,
My last homeland, where I will be born,
And buried, sharing my writings.
O woman of wonder, my beloved,
I know not how the waves cast me at your feet,
I know not how I walked to you,
And how you walked to me.
O one whose charm attracts every bird of the sea,
To take refuge in your embrace.
How fortunate I am to have found you,
O woman who entwines herself with every verse.
You are warm as the sands by the shore,
Beautiful as the Night of Decree.
From the moment you knocked on my door, my life began,
How lovely my poetry became,
When it stood among your hands.
How wealthy and powerful I have become,
Since God guided you to me.
Is there any doubt that you are a spark from my eyes?
And that your hands are a continuum of light with mine?
Do you doubt that
My words emerge from your lips?
Do you doubt that
I exist in you, and you exist in me?
O fire that consumes my being,
O fruit that fills my branches,
O body that cuts like a sword,
And strikes like a volcano,
O breast that exudes the scent of fields of tobacco,
And rushes towards me like a steed.
Tell me,
How will I save myself from these waves?
Tell me,
What should I do for you? I am in a state of addiction.
Tell me, what is the solution? For my yearnings
Have reached the brink of delirium.
O one with a Grecian nose and Spanish hair,
You who cannot be replicated through ages.
O woman who dances barefoot at the entrance of my arteries,
Where did you come from? How did you arrive?
And how did you sweep through my emotions?
O one of God’s greatest blessings upon me,
A cloud filled with love and affection.
O most precious pearl in my hands,
Ah, how bountiful my Lord has been!
The Enchantress Has Her Charms
The enchantress has her charms,
She casts a spell on desires without fail.
I complained to her of my fragile state, and she replied,
“With my glance, you shall find no affliction remains.”
I asked her for a promise of connection,
Her delicate hand grasping the strings of romance.
She said, “You shall meet me soon,”
I asked, “When?” She responded, “In a dream.”
A Heart Haunted by Memories of Al-Amiriyah
A heart entranced by the memories of Al-Amiriyah,
And in its embrace, love resides deeply.
A bolt of joy raced alongside my longing,
With the smile of the lips of Layla blooming.
I gazed with admiration at her beauty,
And I was enchanted, fully lost in her love.
If I were to stray from her affection someday,
Let the whispers of slander be false and unfounded.
And I cannot forget as I bid her farewell,
With tears like pearls adorning her neck.
She walked away, casting glances my way,
And she waved her greeting gently with her fingers.
She said, “Spring is a rendezvous between us,”
I replied, “Nay, our meeting is only forbidden.”
