Quranic Verses for the Healing of Children

Quranic Verses for Children’s Healing

The Holy Quran, in its entirety, serves as a source of healing for believers and a mercy from Allah Almighty to His righteous servants. Muslims have the freedom to read any verses from the Quran, and below are some significant verses that reflect this healing power:

  • (And when I am ill, it is He who cures me).
  • (Then eat from all the fruits and follow the pathways of your Lord, which have been made easy for you. From their bellies comes a drink of various colors, wherein is healing for mankind. Indeed, in that is a sign for people who reflect).
  • (And We send down in the Quran that which is healing and mercy for the believers, and it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss).
  • (Fight them; Allah will punish them by your hands and will disgrace them and give you victory over them and heal the breasts of a believing people).
  • (O mankind, there has come to you a direction from your Lord and a healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers).
  • (And if We had made it a non-Arabic Qur’an, they would have said, “Why are its verses not explained in detail? Is it a non-Arabic book and an Arab? Say, “It is, for those who believe, a guidance and a healing. And those who do not believe are in their ears a deafness, and it is for them blindness. They are being called from a distant place).
  • (Allah! There is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great).
  • (The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His Books and His messengers, [saying], “We make no distinction between any of His messengers.” And they said, “We hear and we obey. [Grant us] Your forgiveness, our Lord. To You is the final destination. Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or made a mistake. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people).

Quranic Verses for Healing Children from the Evil Eye

While there aren’t specific verses designated exclusively for treating children afflicted by the evil eye, all verses of the Holy Quran offer healing and blessings. Here are some relevant verses:

  • (And indeed, those who disbelieve were almost causing you to slip with their eyes when they heard the message and they said, “Indeed, he is mad. And it is not except a reminder for the worlds).
  • (Then return your vision upon them again. You will see how the vision will fail you, and it will be overwhelmed).
  • (And he said, “O my sons, do not enter from one gate, but enter from different gates. And I cannot avail you against Allah in anything. The decision is only for Allah. Upon Him I have relied, and upon Him let the reliant rely. And when they entered from where their father had instructed them, it did not avail them against Allah in anything, except for a need in the soul of Jacob which he was to deliver. And indeed, he was, by Us, full of knowledge; but most of the people do not know).

Quranic Chapters for Children’s Healing

Every chapter of the Holy Quran provides healing to the believer. Below are some chapters that Muslims can recite to protect children in the morning and evening:

  • (In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Sovereign of the Day of Judgment. It is You we worship and You we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path. The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray).
  • (Say, “I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak from the evil of that which He created and from the evil of the darkness when it settles and from the evil of the blowers in knots and from the evil of an envier when he envies”).
  • (Say, “He is Allah, [who is] One, Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, nor is there to Him any equivalent”).
  • (Say, “I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, the Sovereign of mankind, the God of mankind, from the evil of the retreating whisperer – who whispers in the breasts of mankind – of jinn and among mankind”).
