Profile of Ahmed Abdel Aziz
Ahmed Abdel Aziz is recognized as one of the most prominent stars in the Arab cinematic landscape. Born in June 1954, he hails from Egypt, specifically from the Maharam Bek district in Alexandria. He initially earned a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Commerce before pursuing further education at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, where he obtained another bachelor’s degree. His artistic journey began in university theater, and in 1976, he joined the pioneering stage company, Masrah Al-Tali’a. His foray into television began with the series Baqi Min Al-Zaman Saa in 1982.
In addition to acting, Ahmed Abdel Aziz has directed approximately twenty theatrical productions. Some notable works include Al-Hallaj’s Tragedy, Goodbye, Bonaparte, and The Collar and the Bracelet. Currently, he serves as the General Manager of the Comedy Theatre. Personally, he is married to a woman outside the artistic community.
