Hair Straightener
The hair straightener, also known as a hair straightening iron, is a heating tool designed to create a sleek hairstyle. To ensure safe usage, follow these guidelines:
- Ingredients:
- Heat protection spray.
- Hair straightener.
- Hair dryer.
- Preparation Method:
- Wash the hair with shampoo and conditioner, then towel dry it gently.
- Blow dry the hair starting from the roots and working towards the ends.
- Comb the hair to remove any tangles.
- Apply heat protection spray to the hair, avoiding the roots to prevent greasiness.
- Section the hair and set the straightener to the appropriate temperature, which depends on the hair length. Be sure to follow the user manual closely.
- Leave about an inch of space from the roots before gliding the straightener through a section of hair.
- Repeat this process for all sections of hair.
Hair Dryer
A hair dryer is used for drying hair after washing, or for styling hair in various ways. When paired with a round brush, it can create loose waves. To minimize potential damage, follow these steps for effective and safe use:
- Ingredients:
- Hair dryer.
- Paddle brush or comb.
- Shine spray or serum.
- Preparation Method:
- Gently wash the hair with shampoo and towel dry it.
- Part the hair into two sections on the right and left sides.
- Set the hair dryer to the lowest temperature and the highest airflow.
- Using the hair dryer, position it with the handle pointing downward and the nozzle facing upward to target the lower sections of hair.
- Once the lower section is slightly dry, flip the dryer so that the nozzle faces downward.
- Begin drying from the top, slowly working downwards through the sections, continuing this until the upper section is completely dry.
- Gently comb through the hair while it is still damp.
- Take sections from both sides of the hair and secure them at the top with hair clips, leaving the remaining hair down.
- Repeat the previous step by holding the handle upward and blowing downward along the loose sections, focusing on the roots while adjusting the heat settings to medium and the airflow to low or medium. Avoid concentrating the dryer on any one spot of the roots for more than 30 seconds.
- Once the hair is dry, use the dryer starting from the bottom with the nozzle facing upward and the handle downward.
- After the hair is completely dry, comb it using a paddle brush or a comb.
- Finish by spraying shine product from the mid-lengths to the ends of the hair.
Additional Hair Styling Tools
There are various tools available for hair styling, including:
- Hair styling products: These are used to hold hairstyles in place, such as hair spray, gel, mousse, smoothing serum, and detangling spray.
- Combs and brushes: A wide-tooth comb is ideal for detangling long hair, while a fine-tooth comb or rat-tail comb can be used for sectioning hair. A flat brush smooths hair strands, whereas a round brush helps to curl hair while blow drying.
- Hair rollers: These are used to create classic waves in the hair.
- Hair accessories: Items such as headbands, hair ties, and pins serve as accessories for various hairstyles, including buns and ponytails.
