  • (O Allah, with Your knowledge of the unseen and Your power over creation, grant me life if You know that living is better for me, and take my soul if You know that death is better for me. I ask You for Your fear in secret and in public, for sincere words in both satisfaction and anger, for balance in poverty and wealth, for eternal delight, for eyes that find comfort and will never cease, and for contentment with Your decree. Grant me tranquility in life after death, and let me find pleasure in gazing upon Your face and longing for our meeting, without harm or delusion. O Allah, adorn us with the beauty of faith and make us guides who are themselves guided.)
  • (O Allah, I ask You for every good that is immediate and delayed, what I know of it and what I do not know. I seek refuge with You from all evil that is immediate and delayed, what I know of it and what I do not know. O Allah, I ask for the Paradise and what brings me closer to it in word and deed, and I seek refuge with You from the Fire and what brings me closer to it in word or deed. Make every decree that You have made for me good.)
  • (O Turner of hearts, make my heart steadfast in Your religion.)
  • (Our Lord, pour patience upon us and make our feet firm.)
  • (O Ever-Living, O Sustainer, with Your mercy I seek help; rectify all my affairs and do not leave me to myself for the blink of an eye.)
  • (O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, and son of Your maidservant; my forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is executed; Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that is Yours, by which You named Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to one of Your creation, or kept to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen with You, to make the Quran the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the departure of my grief, and the removal of my anxiety.)
  • (My Lord, I entrust to You the supplications pouring from my heart; please fulfill them for me, O Generous One. Grant me glad tidings that bring joy, for You are the best of those who bring glad tidings.)
  • (O Allah, make for us today a supplication that is not rejected, open for us a gate in Paradise that is not closed, and gather us with our Master Muhammad, peace be upon him. O Allah, instill love for Your best creation in our hearts, grant us drink from the fountain of Your Prophet, shelter us in Your Paradise, encompass us with Your mercy, fulfill our wishes, enrich us by Your grace, guide us to obey You, protect us from the torment of the Fire, and shield us from the evil of every envious person.)
  • (O Allah, I place my heart in Your trust; do not let it contain anyone but You. I entrust to You the declaration of faith (there is no god but Allah), so teach it to me when I die. I entrust to You my soul; let me not take a step except in Your pleasure. I entrust to You everything You have provided and bestowed upon me; protect it from the evil of all Your creation. Forgive me and my parents and those I love, and those who dwell in my heart, and my siblings, O One who never loses a trust.)
  • (O Allah, unite our hearts, rectify our relationships, guide us to the paths of peace, save us from darkness to light, keep us away from all immoralities, and bless us in our hearing, sight, hearts, spouses, and offspring. Accept our repentance, for You are the Oft-Relenting, the Most Merciful.)
  • (O Allah, You have granted me the best of friends in this world; do not deprive me of their companionship in the Hereafter. O Allah, bring them joy, relieve their worries, fulfill their hopes, make Paradise their home and abode, heal them from every illness, and gather me with them in the Gardens of Bliss.)
  • (O Allah, I seek success in my path, tranquility in my soul, and ease in my affairs. My Lord, I seek refuge with You from disarray, harm, and a constricted heart.)
  • (O Allah, no one can guide whom You lead astray, nor can anyone give what You withhold, nor withhold what You give, nor advance what You delay, nor delay what You advance. O Allah, grant us Your love and the love of those who love You. Do not deny us Your grace and mercy due to our sins, O Most Merciful of the merciful, O Most Generous of the generous. O Allah, do not let those who do not fear You over us oppress us due to our sins.)
  • (O Allah, write for me a transformation for the better in my soul and my condition, fulfill my wishes, and do not make me a burden to anyone among Your creation. O Allah, do not deprive me of Your goodness due to my lack of gratitude, do not let me down due to my lack of patience, and do not hold me accountable for my lack of seeking forgiveness, for You are the Generous One whose mercy encompasses everything.)
  • (O Allah, guide us, guide us, guide us with guidance that we never stray from thereafter, and grant us happiness that we never suffer from thereafter, and shower Your mercy upon us, O Lord of the worlds.)
  • (O Allah, give me glad tidings of goodness as You gave glad tidings to Jacob about Joseph, and grant me joy as You gave glad tidings to Zechariah about John. O Allah, grant me what I await from You, for You are the best of those who bring glad tidings.)
  • (O Allah, I ask for acceptance among creation and for You to enlist Your angels, the soldiers of Your earth, and all those whom You have placed in charge of my affairs.)
  • (O Lord, answer me regarding what I cannot articulate; You know every prayer that is held back in my heart and I do not know how to raise it to You.)
  • (O Allah, You are my sufficient protector, my ally, my strength, and my weakness. You are the one who mends my brokenness and heals my wounds. Do not place my need in the hands of anyone among Your creation; suffice me with You against all others.)
  • (O Generous Giver, we invoke You to purify us from all sins, elevate us to the highest ranks, and grant us the greatest attainments of all good in this life and in the Hereafter.)
  • (O Allah, make our best deeds the last of them, our best lives the last of them, and our best days the day we meet You. O Allah, forgive us what has passed and rectify what remains.)
  • (O Lord, I fear that I may die suddenly without repenting in my heart. O Lord, forgive me if I die, and send me someone to pray for me without tiring.)
  • (My Lord, wherever guidance exists, make it my path; wherever satisfaction exists, make it my companion; and wherever happiness exists, place it in my heart.)
  • (My Lord, make me better than what they think of me, and forgive me for what they do not know. I entrust to You my coming days; write for me in them all that is good and remove from me all evil and calamity.)
  • (O Allah, I ask for a pure life, a good death, and a return that is neither shameful nor disgraceful. My Lord, grant me according to my intentions, for I do not intend for anyone but good, and grant me better than I hope for and more than I anticipate, and greater than what I call for. My Lord, grant me what pleases me, protect me from what harms me, strengthen my conviction, and provide me with lawful that is sufficient for me; keep away from me all that harms me. O Allah, amen.)
  • (My Lord, if I am tested with a sin, do not let me be tested with the sin of publicizing it. My Lord, wherever guidance exists, make it my path; and wherever satisfaction exists, make it my companion; and wherever happiness is found, place it in my heart.)
  • (O Allah, write for me a change for the better in my soul and circumstances, fulfill my desires, and do not let me be a burden to anyone.)
  • (O Allah, rectify my religion which is my safeguard, my worldly affairs in which I find sustenance, and my Hereafter which is my final abode. Let life be an increase for me in every good, and let death be a rest from all evil.)
  • (O Allah, to You I submit, in You I believe, upon You I place my trust, to You I turn, and with You I argue. O Allah, I seek refuge in Your glory, there is no god but You, that You might lead me astray; You are the Living who does not die, while jinn and humans perish.)

Supplications for Easing Affairs

  • (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from worry and sorrow, from incapacity and laziness, from stinginess and cowardice, from the burden of debt and the oppression of men.)
  • (O Allah, Lord of the heavens and the earth, and Lord of the mighty throne, our Lord and the Lord of all things, You separate the grain and the seed, and You descended the Torah, the Evangel, and the Criterion. I seek refuge in You from the evil of every creation that You hold by its forelock. O Allah, You are the First with nothing before You, the Last with nothing after You, the Manifest with nothing above You, and the Hidden with nothing below You. Clear the debt from us and enrich us from poverty.)
  • (O Allah, suffice me with Your lawful sustenance against Your prohibited, and enrich me through Your grace from anyone else.)
  • (O Allah, make what I fear to be difficult easy, and what I fear to be hard made easy for me. And if I fear what is evil, let there be good for me in it, and do not let me fear anyone but You.)

Supplications for Forgiveness of Sins

  • (Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us mercy from Yourself; indeed, You are the Bestower.)
  • (O Allah, I hope for Your mercy; do not leave me to myself for the blink of an eye, and rectify all my affairs for me. There is no deity except You; some of them exceeds what others have.)
  • (There is no god but You, glory be to You; indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.)
  • (O Allah, all praise is for You; You withhold what has been expended; You do not bring near that which is distant; You do not move away that which is made near; nor give what is withheld; nor withhold what is given. O Allah, grant us Your blessings, mercy, and sustenance. O Allah, I ask You for the permanent delight which is everlasting, that never changes and does not fade. O Allah, I ask You for bliss on the Day of Need, and security on the Day of War. O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the evil of what we have received and from the evil of what You have withheld. O Allah, instill in our hearts love for faith and adorn it, and make disbelief, immorality, and disobedience detestable to us, and make us among the rightly guided. O Allah, take us while we are Muslims, and bestow upon us life as Muslims, and join us with the righteous without shame or trial.)
  • (O Allah, Owner of the Kingdom, You give the kingdom to whom You will, and You take the kingdom from whom You will; You honor whom You will and humiliate whom You will. In Your hand is all goodness; indeed, You are over all things competent. The Most Merciful in this world and the Hereafter, You give them to whom You will and withhold from whom You will. Have mercy on me with a mercy that will suffice me for the mercy of others.)
  • (My Lord, forgive me my flaws, my ignorance, my excesses in all my affairs, and what You know of me better than I know myself. O Allah, forgive my sins, and deliberate actions, my ignorance, and my silly acts, all of which I hold. O Allah, forgive my past and future errors and my concealed and apparent faults; You are the Advanced and You are the Delayed, and You are over everything capable.)
  • (O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness for every sin that causes regret and brings remorse, that hinders supplication and blocks provision. O Lord, if there is a sin that stands between me and the easing of my affairs, forgive it for me.)
  • (O Allah, I ask You, O Reliever of distress, O Remover of grief, O Answerer of the supplications of the desperate, O Most Merciful of this world and the Hereafter, be merciful to me with Your mercy.)
  • (O Allah, do not hold us accountable for what the foolish among us have done. O Allah, treat us not according to what we deserve but rather according to the status You are worthy of.)

Supplications for Marriage

  • (O Allah, O Guide for the lost, O Hope for the seekers, O Remover of grief and the Reliever of distress, bless us with spouses and enrich us through Your lawful means, O God, O Generous, O Lord of the glorious Throne. Have mercy on us with Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful. O Allah, I ask You by Your name that is all-knowing because You know my state. O my Lord, by Your mercy, grant me a righteous husband who will cover me and be the comfort of my eyes, and that I may be the comfort of his eyes, O my Lord.)
  • (O Allah, I ask You by the supplication of Dhun-Nun on the day he invoked You in three layers of darkness: the darkness of night, the darkness of the sea, and the darkness of the belly of the whale, and You answered him and saved him. There is no god but You; indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers. O Allah, grant me and my sisters righteous spouses quickly, O All-Hearing of supplications.)
  • (O Allah, I ask You by Your Greatest Name, which if someone asks You by it, You respond and if he seeks Your help through it, You assist him, and if he seeks Your victory, You grant him victory, please marry me, O Lord of the Worlds.)
  • (O Allah, You sovereignly subdued the strong for the weak, and You subdued the devils, jinn, and the winds for our Prophet Solomon, and You subdued birds and iron for our Prophet David, and You subjected fire for our Prophet Abraham. O Allah, send me a spouse who fears You, by Your will, Your power, Your might, and Your strength. You are alone capable of that; there is no partner for You, O Allah, O Compassionate, O Benefactor, O Majestic, O Creator of the heavens and the earth, O Living, O Sustainer.)
  • (O Allah, I ask You with my fear of falling into sin and with my efforts to guard my limbs; I ask You, O Lord, through my righteous deeds to provide me with a righteous spouse who will assist me in my religious and worldly affairs, for You are all-powerful. O Allah, forgive my sins, guard my honor, and purify my heart. O Allah, grant me a spouse who is good for me and whom I am good for in terms of our religion and life, and in our sustenance and ultimate outcomes, both near and far. O Allah, I seek refuge with You from delay in my marriage and from obstacles; I ask You to provide me with someone better than I deserve as a spouse and more than I hope for, and make him and his family content with me and make me and my family content with him.)

Morning Supplications

It is recommended for Muslims to begin their morning with some remembrance and supplications. Among these supplications are:

  • (O Allah, whatever blessing I have this morning or any of Your creation has, it is from You alone; You have no partner, and to You belongs all praise and thanks. Whoever says this when evening comes has fulfilled their gratefulness for that night.)
  • (We awaken upon the fitrah of Islam, upon the word of sincerity, upon the religion of our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and upon the milla of our father Abraham, who was upright and Muslim, and never was he among the polytheists.)
  • (O Allah, by You we greet this day, and by You we pass into evening, by You we live, and by You we die, and to You is our return.)
  • (Sufficient for me is Allah; there is no god but Him; upon Him I rely, and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.)
  • (Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Him, by the number of His creation, by His satisfaction, and by the weight of His Throne and the ink of His words.) This should be said three times.
  • (There is no god but Allah, the Most Great, the Most Forbearing; there is no god but Allah, Lord of the Mighty Throne; there is no god but Allah, Lord of the heavens and the earth, and Lord of the Noble Throne.)

Friday Supplications

  • (O Allah, O Provider for those who seek, O Merciful for the impoverished, O Strong with overwhelming might, O Best of the supporters, O Guardian of the believers, O Rescuer of the supplicants, we worship You and seek help from You. O Allah, I ask You for abundant and good sustenance.)
  • (O Allah, open for us the treasures of Your mercy; grant us a mercy that will not punish us afterward in this world or the Hereafter, and provide us from Your vast grace with lawful and good sustenance. Do not make us in need of anyone else, and increase our gratitude to You, and make us fall needy before You, and independent from others.)
  • (My Lord, assist me and do not assist against me, support me and do not support against me, devise for me and do not devise against me, guide me and facilitate guidance for me, and support me against those who wronged me. *My Lord, make me grateful to You, mindful of You, submissive to You, and returning to You; accept my repentance, wash away my sins, answer my supplications, affirm my proofs, guide my heart, and make my tongue articulate.)
  • (O Allah, I ask You for the understanding of the prophets, the preservation of messengers, and the angels brought near. O Allah, make our tongues full of Your remembrance, our hearts filled with Your awe, and our secrets filled with Your obedience, for indeed, You are over all things capable. Sufficient for us is Allah, and He is the best disposer of affairs.)
  • (O Allah, grant me a share of Your fear that will avert me from disobedience to You, and grant me of Your obedience that will lead me to Your Paradise, and grant me certainty that will ease the calamities of this world.)
