Children of King Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein

King Abdullah II is a prominent member of the Hashemite family, which has ruled the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan since 1921. He is the current monarch of Jordan, born on January 30, 1960, as the eldest son of the late King Hussein. King Abdullah married Queen Rania on June 19, 1993, and together they have welcomed two sons and two daughters.

Prince Al-Hussein Bin Abdullah (Crown Prince)

Prince Al-Hussein Bin Abdullah II is the eldest son of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the ruler of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. He was named after his grandfather, the late King Hussein Bin Talal. Born in Amman on January 28, 1994, Prince Al-Hussein earned a Bachelor’s degree in International History from Georgetown University in 2016 and graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 2017.

The Crown Prince assumed his role in the Jordanian monarchy on July 2, 2009. Upon reaching the age of legal maturity, Prince Al-Hussein began to undertake various responsibilities associated with his position as Crown Prince. He has accompanied his father in a variety of local and international engagements. Notably, in 2015, at the age of twenty, Prince Al-Hussein chaired his first session at the United Nations Security Council and made his global debut by addressing the UN General Assembly on the issues of extremism and terrorism.

Princess Iman Bint Abdullah

Princess Iman, the eldest daughter of King Abdullah II, was born on September 27, 1996, at the King Hussein Medical Center in Amman. She excelled in her secondary education, particularly in International Relations and Sports. From a young age, Princess Iman accompanied her mother on various official visits to countries such as Japan, France, and China, gaining early media exposure. She graduated from the International Academy Amman (IAA) and received the award for Best Athlete in her cohort in 2014.

Princess Salma Bint Abdullah

Born on September 26, 2000, in Amman, Princess Salma completed her education at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom, graduating in 2018. She then underwent a short commissioning course during which she trained to pilot fixed-wing aircraft. In 2020, Princess Salma made history by becoming the first Jordanian woman to fly a jet in the Jordanian Armed Forces, earning recognition from King Abdullah II for her remarkable achievement.

Prince Hashim Bin Abdullah

Prince Hashim, the youngest child of King Abdullah II, was born on January 30, 2005.
