Prayers for a Sick Wife

Prayers for a Sick Wife

Within the teachings of the Sunnah, there are various prayers and supplications that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would recite to seek healing for those who were ill, including his companions and family members. Below are some of these prayers, alongside additional supplications a husband might offer for his ailing wife:

  • (O Healer, remove the affliction, O Lord of mankind, in Your hand is healing, and none can remove it but You).
  • (O Healer, remove the affliction, O Lord of mankind, heal her for You are the Healer, and there is no healing but Your healing, a healing that leaves no illness behind).
  • (In the name of Allah, I recite upon you; from all that may harm you, from the evil of every soul, or envious eye. May Allah heal you; in the name of Allah, I recite upon you).
  • (Our Lord, Allah who is in the heavens, may Your name be exalted; Your command is in the heavens and the earth. As Your mercy encompasses the heavens, bestow Your mercy upon the earth, forgive us our wrongs and sins. You are the Lord of the good ones; send down mercy from Your mercy and healing from Your healing upon this pain, so that healing may occur).
  • O Allah, I ask You to heal my wife from her illness and grant her relief. Alleviate the weakness that has befallen her and remove any fatigue she is experiencing.
  • O Allah, have mercy on my wife and reward her for her suffering with immense rewards. Heal her, O Lord, from her ailments and the pain she is enduring.
  • O Allah, relieve my wife of her pain, remove the suffering from her body, and replace her weakness and languor with health, strength, and vitality.
  • O Allah, grant my wife immediate and complete healing, O Lord.
