Reliance on God Almighty is a fundamental aspect of putting trust in Him regarding all affairs and entrusting matters to Him. Prayer serves as a vast gateway through which a Muslim can supplicate to God in any desired format. Below are some recommended and general supplications that one can use for their prayers:

  • (O my Lord, expand for me my breast, ease my task for me, and untie the knot from my tongue so that they may understand my speech).
  • (O Allah, nothing is easy except what You have made easy, and You can make grief easy if You wish).
  • O Allah, You are the easer of hardships and the one who softens iron; make my affairs easy for me.
  • O Allah, manage my affairs for I do not know how to manage them.
  • O God, You say to a thing, “Be,” and it is; by Your mercy and power, command my matter to be, for indeed, You are capable of all things.

Reliance on God in Fulfillment of Needs

Here are some recommended and general supplications to fulfill one’s needs:

  • (O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness in matters, determination for guidance, I ask You for the causes of Your mercy, the resolve to seek Your forgiveness, I ask You for gratitude for Your blessings, the beauty of worshiping You, a sound heart, and a truthful tongue. I ask You for the best of what You know, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of what You know, and I seek Your forgiveness for what You know; indeed, You are the All-Knowing of the unseen).
  • “O Allah, You are my trust in every hardship, and You are my hope in every difficulty. In every matter that befell me, You are my confidence and support. How many hardships weaken the heart, diminish the means, and leave one helpless in front of allies and foes, who mock me! I have entrusted this issue to You, seeking Your help above all else, and You relieved me of it, and sufficient You are for me. You are the lord of every blessing and the source of every need, and the end of every desire. Therefore, all thanks belong to You, abundant praise is due to You.”
  • O Allah, You are the fulfiller of the needs of those who ask; please fulfill my needs.

I ask You by every name that belongs to You, which You named Yourself, or You revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You kept concealed in the knowledge of the unseen.
