Offspring of Ibrahim from Hagar the Egyptian
The first son of Ibrahim (Abraham) was Ismail (Ishmael), born to Hagar, his Egyptian wife. The name Ismail means “God has heard,” indicative of God’s grace. Ismail was the first child of Ibrahim from Hagar, and he was circumcised on the same day as his father, following God’s command. After being left in what is now known as Mecca by his father, Ibrahim, Ismail and his mother worked together to construct the sacred Kaaba.
Ismail married a woman from the Jurhum tribe, but later divorced her at the behest of his father Ibrahim. He then wed the daughter of Modad, a Jurhumite, with whom he had twelve sons, including Nabt, Qaydhar, from whom many Arabs trace their lineage, along with Adbil, Mabsha, Masma, Dama, Mas, Aadd, Watur, Nafis, Tamah, and Qaidman. Ismail lived for approximately 137 years and was buried alongside his mother in the Hijr.
Offspring of Ibrahim from Sara, the Daughter of Haran
Isaac (Ishaq) was born fourteen years after Ismail, making Ibrahim one hundred years old at the time. His mother, Sara, was ninety when angels announced that she would give birth to Isaac. At the age of forty, Isaac married Rifah, daughter of Betwail, and together they had twins: Esau, regarded as the father of the Romans, and Jacob (Yaqub), who is known as the prophet Israel. The descendants of Jacob include the tribes of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Zebulun, Issachar, the prophet Joseph, Benjamin, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

Ibrahim subsequently married Qanturah, a Canaanite woman, and they had six children:
- Madyan
- Zimran
- Shuraj
- Yuqshan
- Nashuq
- The name of the sixth is unknown
Offspring of Ibrahim from Hajun the Daughter of Amin
From his wife Hajun, the daughter of Amin, Ibrahim had five sons:
- Kaysan
- Suraj
- Umaym
- Lutan
- Nafis
Summary: Prophet Ibrahim had several children; the first was Ismail (peace be upon him) from Hagar the Egyptian, followed by Isaac from his cousin Sara, six children with Qanturah, and five with Hajun.
