Know that you have rights over your women, and they have rights over you. Their rights upon you are that they should not allow anyone you dislike to set foot on your beds, nor allow anyone you dislike in your homes, while their right upon you is that you treat them kindly regarding their clothing and food.”
- “O Messenger of Allah! What about our women regarding what we take and what we leave? He said, ‘Fulfill your need as you wish, and feed them when you eat, and clothe them when you dress. Do not frown upon their faces, and do not strike them.’”
