Prayers Before Studying

Supplications Before Studying

Supplication holds significant importance in Islam, allowing Muslims to pray with eloquence and sincerity. The realm of prayer is vast, and we will highlight several supplications that can be made by Muslims in various circumstances, especially before studying:

  • (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from worry and sorrow, incapacity and laziness, cowardice and stinginess, the burden of debt, and the domination of men).
  • (O Allah, there is no ease except what You have made easy, and You make difficulty easy if You will).
  • (O Allah, I am Your servant, the son of Your servant, and the son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your Hand; Your decree over me is ongoing, and Your judgement upon me is just. I ask You by every name that is Yours, with which You have named Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen with You, to make the Quran the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the relief of my grief, and the removal of my worry. So, let Allah remove his worry and sorrow and replace it with relief).
  • O Allah, You are the Facilitator of the difficult, the Comforter of the iron, the Fulfillers of promises, and the One who is engaged in a new affair every day; ease my studies.
  • O Allah, with You I push away what I cannot bear; there is no strength except in Allah, the Most High, the Great.
  • O Lord, strengthen me in memorization and understanding; You know best what is secret and what is public.
  • O Allah, You control what benefits me and what harms me, and You have the capability to relieve my affairs and facilitate my hardships.
  • O Merciful One, open to us the openings of the knowledgeable. O Answerer of the distressed supplicant when he calls upon You; O He who says to a thing, “Be,” and it is.
  • O Allah, assist me in studying and do not let my heart tire of it; accompany me at every moment.
  • O Allah, grant me success in what You love and are pleased with, and bestow upon me success and achievement.
