This tropical rainforest spans the Amazon River Basin and its tributaries in Northern South America, covering an expanse of approximately 6,000,000 square kilometers, which represents about 40% of Brazil’s total land area. The forest is bordered to the east by the Atlantic Ocean, to the north by the Guiana Highlands, and to the west by the Andes Mountains, while the Brazilian Central Plateau defines its southern boundary. The Black Forest

Located in Europe, the Black Forest (Baden-Württemberg, Germany) spans roughly 6,009 square kilometers. It extends northeastward along the upper Rhine River, reaching the town of Durlach. The geology of the Black Forest is notable for comprising three main types of rock; the majority consists of granite highlands, while the northern region is characterized by sandstone. A narrow strip of fertile limestone, the most productive component, borders the southern edge of the forest. The area is also distinguished by its extensive coverage of spruce trees, which thrive throughout much of this picturesque region.
