It has been established in Sahih Muslim that Abu Darda – may Allah be pleased with him – reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “When someone prays for their brother in their absence, the angel appointed to that prayer says: ‘Ameen, and for you the same.’” This hadith demonstrates that a Muslim’s prayers for their brothers and friends among the believers are among the supplications that hold the promise of being answered by the will of Allah – the Exalted.
