Below is a collection of authentic remembrances aimed at safeguarding oneself, family, and home:
- The saying of Allah – may He be glorified and exalted -: (Allah! There is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great).

Repeat three times.

- The saying of the Prophet Muhammad – peace be upon him -: (O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent prayers upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim. Verily, You are Praiseworthy, Majestic. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim in the worlds, for You are Praiseworthy, Majestic). Repeat ten times.
- The saying of the Prophet Muhammad – peace be upon him -: (O Allah, You are my Lord; there is no deity except You. You created me, and I am Your servant, and I adhere to my pledge to You as much as I am able. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done, and I acknowledge Your favor upon me, and I confess my sins to You. So forgive me; for none can forgive sins except You).
- The saying of the Prophet Muhammad – peace be upon him -: (O Allah, by You we rise in the morning and by You we enter the evening, and by You we live and by You we die, and to You is our return. And when the evening comes, let him say: O Allah, by You we enter the evening, and by You we rise in the morning, and by You we live and by You we die, and to You is our final return).
Prayers for Home Security
Here are some supplications that can be utilized for home protection:
- Reciting Surah Al-Baqarah, for the Prophet Muhammad – peace be upon him – said: (Read the Quran, for it will come on the Day of Resurrection as an intercessor for its companion. Read the two bright ones: Al-Baqarah and Surah Al-Imran, for they will come on that Day like two clouds or two flocks of birds in ranks, pleading for their companions. Recite Surah Al-Baqarah, for taking it is a blessing, and neglecting it is a source of regret, and the magicians cannot handle it). Muawiya reported that he heard that the ‘magicians’ refers to sorcerers.
- The saying of the Prophet Muhammad – peace be upon him -: (O Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. There is no deity except You, Lord of everything and its Sovereign, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my soul, and from the evil of the Devil and his polytheism, and that I might bring harm upon myself or bring harm upon a Muslim).
- The saying of the Prophet Muhammad – peace be upon him -: (O Allah, I ask You for wellness in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and wellness in my religion, my life, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my faults and secure my fears. O Allah, protect me from in front of me and from behind me, and from my right and from my left, and from above me. I seek refuge in Your greatness from being attacked from below me).
