Ahmad Khairy Al-Omari
Ahmad Khairy Al-Omari, born in 1970 in Iraq, hails from the Al-Omari family, which traces its lineage back to the era of Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab. He is a distinguished writer from Mosul, and his father, Khairy Al-Omari, was a renowned historian and a judge in Iraq. Ahmad graduated from Baghdad University in 1993 with a degree in dentistry. In 2010, he received an award from Dar Al-Fikr, being recognized as the Intellectual Personality of the Year. Notably, Ahmad was one of the youngest individuals to receive this honor before reaching the age of forty. In January 2011, he was selected as the Writer of the Month by the “Reading is Life” campaign, following the celebrated authors Naguib Mahfouz and Mohamed Amara.
