Prayers for Prosperity through Work

Prayers for Sustenance through Work

Prayer for Provision from the Noblest Tradition

Within the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), several notable prayers have been recorded specifically invoking sustenance. Some of these prayers are as follows:

  • (There is no deity but Allah, alone with no partner. To Him belongs dominion, and to Him belongs praise; He has power over all things. O Allah, there is no deterrent to what You have given, and no giver of what You have withheld. No one can benefit from effort against Your decree.)
  • (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and sorrow, from incapacity and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, from the burden of debt and the overpowering of men.)
  • (O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You grant kingship to whom You will and remove kingship from whom You will. You honor whom You will and humiliate whom You will. In Your hand is all good; surely, You have power over all things. You are the Merciful of this world and the Hereafter. You give to whom You will and withhold from whom You will. Bestow upon me a mercy that makes me independent of the mercy of others.)
