- Neglecting to apply a protective layer on the lips, leaving them exposed to sun rays and various environmental factors. To keep lips looking fresh and smooth, it is advisable to apply a lip balm, preferably one with sun protection factors, while ensuring its quality.
- Insufficient water intake can lead to dryness in the lips, particularly since lips lack sebaceous glands.
- Moistening the lips with the tongue may actually increase dryness. Saliva temporarily hydrates the lips, but this moisture quickly evaporates, leaving the lips dry once again.
