Supplications for the Late Night

Prayers for Forgiveness During the Late Night

Here are several supplications that can be recited during the late night and at any time for seeking forgiveness:

  • (Our Lord, do not hold us accountable if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us, and forgive us, and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.)
  • (Our Lord, forgive us our sins and our transgressions in our affairs, and make firm our steps, and assist us against the disbelieving people.)
  • (O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, grant me well-being, and provide for me.)
  • O Allah, You know that I did not disobey You out of disdain for sin, but rather from my own weakness. So envelop me in Your mercy and vast forgiveness, for indeed, You are the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
  • O Allah, You who stretch out Your hand at night for the sinner of the day, and extend Your hand during the day for the sinner of the night, accept my repentance—an unwavering repentance. Indeed, You are the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
  • O Allah, You are the Rich and we are the destitute; You are the Forgiving and we are the sinful. No sin is too great for Your vast mercy and forgiveness. Grant us a portion of Your forgiveness that erases sins and conceals faults, and there is no power or strength except with You.
  • O Allah, I turn to You in this moment from all major and minor sins, hidden transgressions, and overt wrongdoings. I repent as one who does not intend to return to sin and who hides no sinful inclination in his heart.
  • O my God, You accept repentance from Your servants, forgive sins, and love those who repent. Accept my repentance as You promised, and forgive my misdeeds as You guaranteed. Grant me Your love as You stipulated, and my condition with You is that I do not return to Your displeasure, nor do I revert to actions that are blameworthy, and I vow to forsake all of Your prohibitions.
  • O Allah, I repent to You from everything that contradicts Your will or strays from Your love, whether from the thoughts of my heart, the glance of my eyes, or the expressions of my tongue. I seek a repentance that secures my body from sins and transgressions.

Guide me from misguidance to guidance, and rescue me from every hardship and distress.
