Welcome! Revitalize Knowledge and Virtues
Welcome! Revitalize knowledge and virtues.
By spreading knowledge, you foster growth among future generations.
There is no life for you other than that which comes from a university,
Which serves as a mother to seekers of high aspirations and a father.
It constructs men and raises every lofty tower,
Building dignity and strength that endures.
Set your hearts as a foundation; do not tell me,
To place adornments, for I am pleased with gold.
Build with your ambitions a fortified wall,
And disregard whispers of the enemy; I understand the cause.
Do not despair if you encounter challenges,
Those burdens that the heavy-hearted might throw at you, let them be.
Be mindful of the Day when no harvest yields,
For every living being will be recompensed for what they earn.
He constructed towers upon the foundation of falsehood;
So, build a tower on the truth that pierces the skies.
Respond with actions that cannot be demolished,
Whatever the skeptics proclaim or assert.
Do not rest easy, for they will never rest
So, demand your rights, but approach them graciously.
Did news of the noble who ascended reach you,
Leaving a legacy that astounds future generations?
In Carthage, the tumultuous seas have blazed; therefore, they are detained,
While their vessels hang in the balance in disarray.
War rages hot, surrounded by chaos,
As the dust of death settles above them.
Wishing fiercely that their act was noble,
If only their lashes had reason to flee.
Right there, the beautiful ones have generously given what they once withheld,
With delicacy they stood firm against adversity.
Their hair graced ships, rescuing a homeland while reclaiming a legacy,
They celebrate beauty on their lands.
Amid the splendor of their homeland, they rejoiced,
And felt no regret for the jewels lost.
This added to their splendor even in absence,
They bloom with pride over those who ventured to battle or journeyed afar.
Barethran, who tailored statecraft for self-respect,
Clothed himself in a fabric of glory, enduring time and trial.
He remained captive for a while, then was told,
“Has the time not come for you to redeem glory and honor?”
He answered, “You are selected ones,” and declared to them,
“We are men who revere virtue even at the cost of wealth.”
Take the heaps of gold, the treasures piled up,
Even so, your custodian tires from counting them.
They said, “You have ruled with something unattainable for us,”
Bearing what we see as burdensome folly.
Through Knowledge, Nations Reach Highest Glory
Through knowledge, nations achieve their utmost glory,
And without knowledge, there is no ascent for civilizations.
O those who have been called forth, meet their yearning,
As your generosity deserves thanks like the garden does from the rain.
Those with true generosity find rewards in their noble intentions,
Blessed with enduring favors and graces.
If you find generosity absent of commendation,
It may just turn into a tool of death.
Institutions of knowledge, where one generously dedicates time,
Build paths for future clarity and strengths.
Those who lay the first stones in the foundation of education,
Secure for their people the essence of enduring aid.
How distinct is the household that holds knowledge,
Where the strength of peoples flourishes, compared to those decaying in ruins!
The East suffers only from stagnant experiences,
Ignorance reigns while nations remain oblivious.
They languished in disregard, trapped in prolonged ignorance,
When it was time for revival from nothingness.
Today, those who find themselves parched,
Lack the clarity that comes from heightened awareness.
Today, the slightest subsistence is denied to those unaware,
So work your minds diligently, do not deny oneself the wealth of knowledge.
The collective effort, like the individual endeavor, is needed,
To embrace the shadows of ignorance and obliteration.
Thus, educate and enlighten, or you will face calamities and troubles;
There is no escape from misfortunes and sorrow.
Raise your children, for we have reached an age,
Where people soar like eagles and foreboding birds.
If we crawl, we do so not in trepidation,
Since you have guided us and there exist no means of protection.
O soul, more noble than those who sacrificed their community,
Through their sacrifice after long suffering and affliction.
It is as if you hover in our midst,
As if you never fell silent.
For in our ears linger the words you shared,
In similar stances, nestled in refined language.
And hearts tremble from your brilliance,
Reflected in every bolt of lightning in the dark.
Whisper to us about a legacy best kept by its handler,
Although he was compelled to navigate life’s whims, never dozing.
Together, let us listen and comply without frailty or exhaustion,
To the call of the one whose voice echoes successfully across time.
A home like this will thrive like a bountiful garden,
And the people will remain steadfast in their aspirations.
Knowledge is Light in Darkness
Knowledge is enough light in darkness,
Revealing significant truths in life.
How many have found pride through it,
And how many have donned it to transform sorrow into joy?
It enriches minds with guidance and wisdom,
And elevates souls to deeper understanding.
If no inhabitants exist to build knowledge into their lives,
Then their clothing resembles the shrouds of the deceased.
It is justifiable for them to face hardship,
And for their worldly pursuits to lead to despair.
I see the core of high aspirations is both virtue and knowledge;
Without them, greatness becomes utterly hollow.
O sons of the schools! My soul,
Places hope in you for a promising future.
May prosperity bless the institutions that have brought forth
The blossoms from which you bloom.
The lands will gain elevation through you,
If they find a supporter among you.
When storms of adversity overshadow the land,
You emerge as brilliant moons piercing the void.
And you become a fortress for esteem,
While encircling it with walls of glory.
When lands are nourished by the abundance of knowledge,
The otherwise incapacitated natives become capable.
The supports of the weak grow stronger through that wisdom,
And the impoverished become affluent in their abundance.
However, there is no beneficiary of knowledge,
In vain, did the youth fail to demonstrate their worth.
The very foundation of greatness rests upon ethics,
Expressed by fragrant words, wafting in the air.
Do not seek advantage from knowledge unless,
You train your nature to be virtuous and refined.
When knowledge adorns itself with good character,
Relief and blessings to its bearer are plentiful.
Surely, advancement doesn’t stem solely from the depth of knowledge,
Yet it blossoms from a sound conscience.
O children of the schools! Do you foster
An awakened inquiry into one who possesses great wisdom?
Aren’t you hearing? For I carry news for you,
Pertaining to your homes and towns heavily.
And a thought for collaboration that is indeed sound,
And a heart that longs for unity to overcome failure.
Time has flipped, and now the affliction of people belittles the noble;
The misfortune of the times has benighted many virtues.
How many blind mice have emerged
Only to be esteemed as heroic lions?
How do we aspire for nobility in our homelands,
While the legacy of the populace becomes grim?
Have we not exhibited solidarity with one another,
In facing trials and testing blows?
Are we not the ones crafting masterpieces of glory,
Embellishing historical eras with stories?
If the tides of tribulation rise against us,
Let our resolve construct bridges to safety.
Let us embark on a journey toward the pinnacle of success,
Where we shall restore the grandeur of our collective efforts.
Shake off the dust of ignorance and flee,
To these institutions, for mercy awaits.
They offer sanctity for those who dread the night’s embrace,
And ensure safety to seekers of enlightenment.
A Testament to the Unfolding Memories
The power of knowledge lies in its capacity to illuminate,
And resolve the most complex dilemmas.
It stands as a guide through the sharpest uncertainties,
And offers solace in the most restrictive conditions.
Every moment that knowledge expands,
Is without doubt the most precious of times.
Knowledge is the Crown of Virtue
Knowledge is the crown of pride; thus, cherish it,
And strive to grasp it as long as you live.
Rely on it, trust in God, and find wealth therein,
And remain composed, wise, and vigilant.
Be young seekers of the core values of integrity,
Prosper from religious wisdom and acquire knowledge.
For he who embodies good morals remains a leader;
To his people, above all, is indispensable in times of loss.
Knowledge is the Source of All Honor
Knowledge is the source of all honor; thus, take pride,
Be warned that the pride of this source may escape you.
Understand that knowledge will not be attained by those,
Whose concerns are merely for sustenance or attire.
Only the one who pursues knowledge diligently,
Willingly or unwillingly, will reap its rewards.
Ensure you claim a generous share from it;
Avoid the comforts of sleep and indulgence.
For perhaps one day, if you find yourself in a gathering,
You will read the honor of that assembly.
Through Knowledge Thrives Nation’s Strength
Through knowledge, the strength of nations rises,
For governance in time is attributed to the pen.
How different are the sharpness of swords’ utterances,
Contrasted with the wisdom that ink breathes forth.
If people were fair, attributes of excellence between them;
Would rely upon but a drop of ink and not the shedding of blood.
So, dedicate yourself to knowledge to attain a level of honor,
Surrounded by respect and dignity.
For the fruits of winning do not flourish beautifully,
From the garden of knowledge, except to dignified minds.
If there were no disparities in human striving,
Necks would curve equally toward achievement.
In youth, seize every moment; if squandered,
None contain regret better than a fool’s choice.
If not for the exchange of ideas, hidden riches,
Between valleys of intellect and wisdom would not surface.
How many nations have seen their shadows fade?
Yet their souls roam free among our words.
So look at the two structures standing tall,
Where you shall find wonders untold in dreams.
Two towers that have endured since the ages commenced,
Without parallel in form or stature.
They carry wisdom, long forgotten yet palpable,
Yet they remain etched in the fabric of time.
A people that time has devoured, yet their memory lingers,
As their recounting endures beyond the reach of time.
How many images almost spoke to us,
In silence, without needing tongue or mouth?
Addresses that proclaim “Hermes” through the lines,
Conveying the sublime virtues of long-standing legacy.
Such verses of glory, their light shines forth,
Becoming recognized in the tongues of both Arabs and Persians.
And between them, flame flickers, heading Eastward,
Overseeing the course of the Nile from different nations.
As if waiting to leap forward, lying in wait,
A symbolic reminder that knowledge enriches existence.
So awaken, O children of the lands, and stand firm,
For knowledge is the axis of justice in nations.
Do not presume wealth thrives without knowledge,
For knowledge is the most precious of all gifts.
For perhaps one with riches appears insignificant out of ignorance,
And perhaps one of humble means is esteemed through wisdom.
Build schools! They are the seeds that, if nurtured,
Will yield branches laden with blessings.
