Honey Soap
This type of soap is crafted using simple natural ingredients, including Castile soap, olive oil, coconut oil, and other natural components, to create a nourishing body wash. The process involves the following steps:
- Ingredients:
- ½ cup of liquid Castile soap.
- ½ cup of raw honey.
- 2 tablespoons of castor oil.
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
- 10 drops of essential oil.
- A clean glass container.
- Preparation Method:
- In the glass container, combine the Castile soap with the honey and oils, shaking well to mix.
- Store the soap in a cool, dry place.
- It is best to use within one year.
Herbal Soap
Herbal soap is made at home by incorporating natural herbs as follows:
- Ingredients:
- 2 to 4 tablespoons of dried herbs and flowers.
- ¼ to ⅓ cup of water.
- Glycerin soap.
- Some preferred essential or moisturizing oils.
- Preparation Method:
- Grind the dried herbs or flowers finely.
- Boil the water over medium heat.
- Soak the ground herbs in the boiling water for 15 minutes.
- Cut the glycerin soap into small cubes and melt it in the microwave for at least 30 seconds.
- Mix the melted soap with the oils and blend thoroughly.
- Pour the mixture into soap molds.
- Allow the soap to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- Place the molds in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to firm and cool the soap.
- Carefully remove the soap from the mold, placing it on a clean towel to dry for two days before it is ready for use.
Oatmeal Soap
Oatmeal soap can be prepared following these steps:
- Ingredients:
- 227 milliliters of coconut oil.
- 341 milliliters of olive oil.
- Sodium hydroxide (lye).
- 1 tablespoon of coffee.
- ⅓ cup of oatmeal.
- 79 milliliters of any moisturizer.
- Preparation Method:
- Thoroughly mix the moisturizer with the coffee.
- Heat the coconut oil gently until it becomes liquid.
- Combine the coconut oil with the olive oil and the coffee mixture, stirring continuously for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Blend the oatmeal with sodium hydroxide until you achieve a thick mix.
- Gradually pour the soap mixture into a mold, tapping it gently against a solid surface several times to eliminate air bubbles.
- Cover the mold with a piece of paper and wrap it in a towel to protect it from air exposure for 24 to 48 hours.
- Remove the soap from the mold and cut it into even pieces.
- Store the soap in a cool, ventilated area for four weeks to cure.
