Profound Sacred Hadiths
A sacred hadith is a narration relayed by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from his Lord, Blessed and Exalted. Below are some impactful sacred hadiths:
Hadith: (Whoever Shows Enmity to My Wali)
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) stated: “Allah has said: Whoever shows enmity to a Wali of Mine, I declare war against him. My servant does not draw nearer to Me with anything more beloved to Me than the duties I have imposed upon him, and he continues to draw nearer to Me with voluntary deeds until I love him. When I love him, I become his hearing with which he hears, his sight with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes, and his foot with which he walks. If he asks Me, I will certainly give him, and if he seeks refuge with Me, I will grant him refuge. I have never hesitated on anything I intend to do as much as I have hesitated on the soul of the believer; he dislikes death, and I dislike to upset him.”
Hadith: (I Am According to the Opinion of My Servant)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) remarked: “Allah the Almighty says: I am as My servant thinks of Me, and I am with Him when he remembers Me. If he remembers Me within himself, I remember him within Myself; and if he remembers Me in a group, I remember him in a group better than that. If he draws near to Me by an arm’s length, I draw near to him by a cubit; and if he draws near to Me by a cubit, I draw near to him by a fathom. If he comes to Me walking, I go to him with a rush.”
Hadith: (O My Servants, I Have Forbidden Injustice)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) narrated on behalf of his Lord, Blessed and Exalted: “O My servants, I have forbidden injustice upon Myself, and I have made it forbidden among you; so do not wrong one another. O My servants, all of you are misguided except for those whom I have guided; seek guidance from Me, and I will guide you. O My servants, all of you are hungry except for those whom I have fed; ask Me for food, and I will feed you. O My servants, all of you are naked except for those whom I have clothed; ask Me for clothes, and I will clothe you. O My servants, you sin by night and day, and I forgive all sins; ask Me for forgiveness, and I will forgive you.”
“O My servants, you will never reach a point where you can harm Me, nor will you ever reach a point where you can benefit Me. O My servants, if the first of you and the last of you, and all of mankind and jinn, were to have the heart of the most pious man among you, it would not increase My dominion in anything. O My servants, if the first of you and the last of you, and all of mankind and jinn, had the heart of the most disobedient man among you, it would not diminish My dominion in anything.”
“O My servants, if the first of you and the last of you, and all of mankind and jinn, were to gather in one place and ask Me, and I were to give every person what they requested, it would not decrease what I possess except as a needle takes from the sea. O My servants, your deeds are recorded for you, and I will reward you for them. Whoever finds good should praise Allah, and whoever finds other than that should blame no one but themselves. In another narration: I have forbidden injustice upon Myself and upon my servants; do not wrong one another.”
Hadith: (O Son of Adam, I Became Ill but You Did Not Visit Me)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) stated: “On the Day of Resurrection, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will say: O son of Adam, I was ill, but you did not visit Me. The person will respond: O my Lord, how can I visit You when You are the Lord of the worlds?! Allah will say: Did you not know that My servant so-and-so was ill and you did not visit him? Did you not realize that if you had visited him, you would have found Me with him?”
“O son of Adam, I asked you for food but you did not feed Me. The person will say: O my Lord, how can I feed You when You are the Lord of the worlds?! Allah will say: Did you not know that my servant so-and-so asked you for food, but you did not feed him? Did you not realize that if you had fed him, you would have found that with Me? O son of Adam, I asked you for water, but you did not give Me any. The person will respond: O my Lord, how can I give You water when You are the Lord of the worlds?! Allah will say: My servant so-and-so asked you for water, but you did not give him any. Verily, had you given him water, you would have found that with Me.”
