- (Sufficient for us is Allah, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs).
- (Indeed, we belong to Allah and indeed to Him we will return).
- (O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him, grant him peace, pardon him, honor his resting place, expand his entrance, wash him with water, snow, and hail, purify him from sins as a white garment is purified from dirt, replace his dwelling with a better dwelling, his family with a better family, and his spouse with a better spouse. Admit him into Paradise and protect him from the torment of the grave and the torment of the Fire).
Prayers for Comfort in the Grave for a Deceased Husband
A Muslim can supplicate to Allah – the Exalted – in any manner and with any words. Here are some specific prayers that can be made for a deceased spouse, with the intention of granting him steadfastness and comfort in his grave:

- O Allah, grant my husband from the fruits of Paradise and let his drink be from the river of Al-Kawthar. O Allah, expand his grave and open for him a door through which the breezes of Paradise shall flow, never to be closed. My Lord, forgive him and have mercy on him with Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
- O Allah, O Generous One, expand my husband’s grave. O Allah, grant him vision in his grave. O Allah, make my husband’s grave a garden from the gardens of Paradise, and do not let it be a pit from the pits of Fire.
