- (Aisha said to Urwah: “Do you make an exception when you perform Hajj?” He replied, “What should I say?” She said, “Say: O Allah, I intend to perform Hajj, and I rely on You. If it is made easy for me, then it is Hajj; and if I am prevented, then it is Umrah.”)
- (Labbayk Allahumma Labbayk, Labbayk la sharika laka Labbayk, innal hamda wal ni’mata laka wal mulk, la sharika laka.)
- O Allah, I have indeed made the intention for Hajj, so assist me in it and accept it from me. Labbayk Allahumma Labbayk, Labbayk la sharika laka Labbayk, innal hamda wal ni’mata laka wal mulk, la sharika laka.

- From a weak hadith: “Bismillah, Allahu Akbar, O Allah, I believe in You, affirm Your Book, fulfill Your covenant, and follow the Sunnah of Your Prophet Muhammad.”
- (O Allah, make it a blessed Hajj, a grateful endeavor, and forgive my sins.)
- Abdullah bin Al-Sa’ib reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “Between the two corners, say: O our Lord, grant us in this world goodness, and in the Hereafter, goodness, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”
Supplication while Sa’i between Safa and Marwah
While at Safa and Marwah, pilgrims may say the following:
- As narrated by Jabir bin Abdullah: “When the Prophet (peace be upon him) approached Safa, he recited: ‘Indeed, Safa and Marwah are among the rites of Allah.’ I begin with what Allah began with. He started at Safa, climbed it, and faced the Qiblah, then he praised Allah and made Takbir.”
- (There is no deity but Allah alone. He has no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is capable of all things. There is no deity but Allah alone; He has fulfilled His promise, assisted His servant, and defeated the confederates alone. Then pray in between like this three times.)
- (O Allah, forgive and have mercy, and pardon what You know, for You are the Almighty, the Generous. O Allah, our Lord, grant us in this world goodness, and in the Hereafter, goodness, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.)
Supplication at Arafat
Numerous supplications can be recited while standing at Arafat, including:
- (The best supplication is the supplication on the Day of Arafah, and the best of what I and the Prophets before me have said: There is no deity except Allah, alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the dominion, and to Him belongs all praise, and He is capable of all things.)
- What is narrated in a weak hadith: “O Allah, to You belong my prayers, my sacrificial rites, my living and my dying, and to You is my final return. O Allah, to You belong my prayers, my sacrificial rites, my living and my dying, and to You is my final return, and for You, O my Lord, is my legacy. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, from the whispers of the chest, and from disorder of affairs. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of what the winds bring.”
Supplication when Moving from Arafat to Muzdalifah
While transitioning from Arafat to Muzdalifah, pilgrims may recite the following supplications:

- “O Allah, just as You have brought us here and shown it to us, guide us to remember You as You have guided us and forgive us and have mercy on us as You promised us with Your statement, which is the truth (And when you depart from Arafat, remember Allah at Mash’ar al-Haram, and remember Him as He has guided you, for indeed, before that, you were among the astray).”
- “O Allah, All praises belong to You; all perfection belongs to You; all majesty belongs to You; and all sanctity belongs to You. O Allah, forgive me all that I have done in the past, protect me in what remains, and grant me righteous deeds that You are pleased with, O Possessor of immense favors.”
Supplication on the Day of Nahr
On the Day of Nahr, pilgrims can utilize the following supplications:

In Your control, I ask You to bestow upon me what You have granted to Your allies. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from deprivation and calamity in my religion, O Most Merciful of the merciful.”
- When sacrificing:
“In the name of Allah, Allah is the Greatest. O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family. O Allah, from You and to You, accept this from me.”
- When shaving the head:
“Allahu Akbar three times, then say: All praise is to Allah for guiding us, and all praise is to Allah for what You have bestowed upon us. O Allah, this is my forelock; accept it from me and forgive my sins. O Allah, forgive me and those who shave and cut short their hair, O Most Forgiving, Amîn.”
- When completing the shaving:
“All praise is due to Allah, who has completed our rites. O Allah, increase our faith, certainty, and assistance, and forgive us, our parents, our mothers, and all Muslims.”
Supplication when Leaving Mecca and Returning to One’s Country
Upon returning home, the pilgrim may make the following supplications:
- “O Allah, Your House is Your House, and the servant is Your servant, and the son of Your servant, and the son of Your maid. You have carried me by what You have made easy for me through Your creation until you brought me into Your lands and allowed me to complete Your rites. If You are pleased with me, increase Your pleasure upon me, and if not, then from now until my dwelling is far from Your House, this is the time for my departure.”
- “If You grant me permission to return, I do not seek to replace You or Your House, nor do I wish for anything else. O Allah, therefore, grant me health in my body, safeguard my religion, bless my return, and grant me obedience to You for as long as You keep me alive, and bring together for me the goodness of this world and the Hereafter. Indeed, You are capable of all things.”
