  • In Surah Fussilat, it is mentioned: “And of His signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon, but prostrate to Allah, who created them, if it is Him that you worship.”
  • Surah An-Naml describes: “Indeed, I found a woman ruling over them, and she has been given all things, and she has a great throne. I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of Allah, and Satan made their deeds appear good to them and turned them from the way, so they are not guided.”
  • Surah Yaseen portrays: “And the sun runs on its fixed course. That is the decree of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. And as for the moon, We have decreed for it phases until it returns like the old dried twig. It is not for the sun to catch up with the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, and all are in an orbit, swimming.”
  • Surah Al-Qamar says: “The Hour has approached, and the moon has split.”
  • Lastly, Surah Al-Inshiqaq states: “And by the moon when it becomes full.”

  • Allah, the Exalted, says: “Have those who disbelieved not seen that the heavens and the earth were a closed-up mass, then We opened them out? And We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe? And We placed within the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shake with them, and We made therein broad ways that they might be guided.”
  • In another verse, Allah addresses: “Say, ‘Is it that you disbelieve in He who created the earth in two days and make equals to Him? That is the Lord of the worlds. And He placed therein firmly set mountains from above it and blessed it and determined therein its sustenance in four days, equally for those who ask.’ Then, He directed Himself to the heaven while it was smoke and said to it and to the earth, ‘Come both of you willingly or by force.’ They said, ‘We have come willingly.’ And He completed them as seven heavens in two days and inspired in every heaven its command. And We adorned the nearest heaven with lamps and provided for protection. That is the decree of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.”
  • Allah also states: “I did not make them witness the creation of the heavens and the earth or the creation of themselves, nor would I take the misleading as assistants.”
  • In Surah Yunus, it is said: “And not concealed from your Lord is anything that is within the weight of an atom’s weight in the heavens or the earth, nor smaller than that or greater, except that it is in a clear record.”
  • Finally, Allah declares: “We created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days, and We were not touched by fatigue.”
