Verses Indicating the Knowledge of God Almighty

Verses Illustrating the Vast Knowledge of Allah

Numerous verses from the Qur’an highlight the vastness of Allah’s knowledge and His comprehensive awareness. Below are some key verses:

  • Allah, the Exalted, states: Allah is He who created seven heavens and of the earth, the like of them. His command descends between them, so that you may know that Allah has power over all things and that Allah encompasses all things in knowledge.
  • Allah, the Almighty, says: Do you not see that Allah knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth? There is no whispering among three, but He is their fourth; nor among five, but He is their sixth; nor fewer nor more, but He is with them wherever they are. Then He will inform them of what they used to do on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of all things.
  • Allah, the Most High, mentions: Whatever expenditure you spend, or whatever vow you make, indeed, Allah knows it, and for the wrongdoers, there are no supporters.
  • Allah, the Exalted, states: And He knows its resting place and its storage; each in a clear register.
  • Allah, the Almighty, says: He knows what penetrates into the earth and what emerges from it, what descends from the heaven, and what ascends therein. And He is the Most Merciful, the Forgiving.
  • Allah instructs: Our Lord encompasses all things in knowledge.
  • Allah mentions: And his people argued with him. He said, Do you argue with me about Allah while He has guided me? And I do not fear what you associate with Him unless my Lord wills something. My Lord encompasses all things in knowledge; will you not then remember?

  • Allah, the Most High, says: He is the First and the Last, the Hidden and the Manifest, and He is, of all things, Knowing.
  • Allah says: And whether you conceal your speech or publicize it, indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.

Verses Denoting Allah’s Knowledge of the Unseen

Many verses in the Qur’an affirm Allah’s knowledge of the unseen. Among them are:

  • Allah, the Most High, states: And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him.
  • Allah instructs: Say, None in the heavens and the earth knows the unseen except Allah, and they do not know when they will be resurrected.
  • Allah, the Almighty, affirms: And He is the One who created the heavens and the earth in truth. And the Day He says, Be, and it is, His word is the truth. And His is the dominion on the Day the trumpet is blown; He is Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, and He is the Wise, the Expert.
  • Allah states: And they say, Why has not a sign been sent down to him from his Lord? Say, The unseen is only for Allah. So wait; indeed, I am with you among those who wait.
  • Allah commands: And those who disbelieve say, The Hour will never come to us. Say, Yes! By my Lord, it will surely come to you, the Knower of the unseen. Not an atom’s weight is hidden from Him in the heavens and the earth, nor is there anything smaller than that or greater except that it is in a clear record.
  • Allah declares: He is the Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His unseen to anyone.
  • Allah, the Exalted, states: You know what is in my soul, and I do not know what is in Your soul; indeed, You are the Knower of the unseen.
  • Allah informs: They will excuse themselves to you when you have returned to them. Say, Do not make excuses; we will not believe you. • Allah commands: Say, O Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, You judge between Your servants concerning that in which they used to differ.
  • Allah states: They ask you about the Hour, When is its arrival? Say, Its knowledge is only with my Lord; none will reveal it at its time except Him. It weighs heavily upon the heavens and the earth. It will not come upon you except unexpectedly. They ask you as if you are aware of it. Say, Its knowledge is only with Allah; but most of the people do not know.
  • Allah affirms: He is the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed; the Most High, the Exalted.
