Dawn Prayers

Duaas of Fajr

Authentic Supplications

In the Prophetic tradition, there are numerous established supplications that Muslims can recite at dawn and at any other time. Some of these include:

  • (O Allah, You are my Lord; there is no deity except You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I commit to Your covenant and promise as much as I can. I acknowledge Your favors upon me and confess my sins to You. Forgive me, for none can forgive sins except You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. If one recites this in the evening and dies, they will enter Paradise, and if one recites it in the morning and dies the same day, they will be among the people of Paradise.)
  • (O Allah, protect me from the Fire.)
  • (O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good sustenance, and accepted deeds.)
  • (O Allah, I strive with You, I fight with You, and I contend with You.)
  • (There is no deity but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the sovereignty and praise, and He is over all things capable. O Allah, none can prevent what You give, and none can provide what You withhold; the might of the mighty cannot benefit against You.)
