Verses on the Pillars of Faith in the Qur’an
Below are several verses from the Holy Qur’an that highlight the pillars of faith:
- Allah, the Exalted, states:
{Say, “We have believed in Allah and what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Descendants, and what was given to Moses and Jesus, and what was given to the Prophets from their Lord; we make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims to Him.”}
- Allah, the Most High, mentions:
{And when My servants ask you concerning Me, indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me and believe in Me, that they may be guided}
.
- Allah, Almighty, reveals:
{Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the East or the West, but [true] righteousness is in one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the Angels, the Scripture, and the Prophets.}
- Allah, the Glorious, declares:
{The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His Angels and His Books and His Messengers, [saying], “We make no distinction between any of His Messengers.” And they say, “We hear and we obey; [seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord. To You is the final destination.”}
- Allah, the Sovereign, asserts:
{Allah witnesses that there is no deity except Him, and [so do] the Angels and those of knowledge – [that He is] maintaining creation in justice. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.}
- Allah, the Most Wise, instructs:
{O you who have believed, believe in Allah and His Messenger and the Book that He sent down to His Messenger and the Scripture which He sent down before. And whoever disbelieves in Allah and His Angels and His Books and His Messengers and the Last Day has certainly gone far astray.}
- Allah, the Forgiving, states:
{And those who have believed in Allah and His Messengers and have not divided between any of them – those will be given their reward, and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.}
- Allah highlights:
{Indeed, the mosques of Allah are only to be inhabited by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and establish prayer and give zakah and do not fear except Allah. It is expected that those will be among the rightly guided.}
- Allah informs:
{And of the Bedouins are some who believe in Allah and the Last Day and consider what they spend as proximity to Allah and acceptance of the Messenger. Unquestionably, it is a proximity for them. Allah will admit them into His mercy. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.}
- Allah warns:
{And whoever does not believe in Allah and His Messenger – indeed, We have prepared for the disbelievers a Blaze.}
- Allah, the Truthful, explains:
{The believers are only those who have believed in Allah and His Messenger and then doubt not but strive with their properties and their lives in the cause of Allah. It is those who are the truthful.}
- Allah reassures:
{And those who have believed in Allah and His Messengers – those are the al-Siddiqoon and the witnesses before their Lord. For them is their reward and their light. And those who have disbelieved and denied Our signs – those are the companions of the Blaze.}
- Allah encourages:
{Race toward forgiveness from your Lord and a Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, prepared for those who have believed in Allah and His Messengers. That is the bounty of Allah; He gives it to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.}
- Allah, the Exalted, invites:
{O you who have believed, shall I guide you to a transaction that will save you from a painful punishment? * [It is that] you believe in Allah and His Messenger and strive in the cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives. That is best for you if you should know.}
- Allah instructs:
{So believe in Allah and His Messenger and the Light which We have sent down. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do.}
- Allah reminds:
{No disaster strikes upon the earth or among yourselves except that it is in a Register before We bring it into being. Indeed, for that, has been easy for Allah. And whoever believes in Allah – He will guide his heart. And Allah is Knowing of all things.}
