Daily Accepted Prayers in Ramadan from the Prophet

Daily Accepted Prayers During Ramadan from the Prophet

According to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), “The fasting person has a supplication that will not be rejected upon breaking their fast.” It is therefore essential for Muslims to engage in prayer during Ramadan, as it is a time of answered supplications, as stated by the beloved Messenger. Below are some prayers narrated from the Prophet during the iftar (breaking of fast):

  • “When the Prophet (peace be upon him) broke his fast, he said: The thirst has gone, the veins are moist, and the reward is assured, if Allah wills.”
  • “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) broke his fast at the home of Sa’d ibn Mu’adh and said: The fasting ones have broken their fast with you, the righteous have eaten your food, and the angels have sent blessings upon you.”

Prophetic Supplications for Provision in Ramadan

We will highlight several prophetic traditions that Muslims may use to seek sustenance during the blessed month of Ramadan and throughout the year:

  • “O Allah, I seek refuge in You from laziness, old age, sin, debt, the trial of the grave, the punishment of the grave, the trial of the Fire, and the punishment of the Fire. I seek refuge in You from the evil of the trial of wealth, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of poverty. I seek refuge in You from the trial of the false messiah. O Allah, wash away my sins with snow and hail, and cleanse my heart of sins as You have cleansed the white garment of dirt. Distance me from my sins just as You have distanced the east from the west.”
  • “O Allah, no one can withhold what You grant, and no one can grant what You withhold. The wealth of the wealthy does not benefit against You.”
  • “O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, grant me health, and provide for me.”
